Be polite but direct in asking about the starting salary. Show enthusiasm for the position. If the company has asked whether you're interested in the job, you should thank them for their message, state that the position does sound interesting, and then write “May I ask what the salary range is?”
Calculating an Annual Salary from an Hourly Wage Multiply the number of hours you work per week by your hourly wage. Multiply that number by 52 (the number of weeks in a year). If you make $20 an hour and work 37.5 hours per week, your annual salary is $20 x 37.5 × 52, or $39,000.
Employees on a salary Divide their annual salary by 52 to get their weekly pay. Then, divide their weekly pay by the number of days in their working week (so 5 if full time) to get their daily pay. Lastly, multiply their daily pay by the number of days worked since the end of the last pay period.

As you fill out the application, type $50,000 into the “salary” field for every job you've held, from your earliest job to your most recent one. Use the same $50,000 figure every time the application form asks you for a past or current salary number.
