It is easy to use and very helpful. I just started so I am a bit slow in getting the documents made or using it. I would have liked it a bit more straightforward, but I like it so far.

It was good. Hard to edit one document due to not being able to insert words. It was a lot easier & more convenient than finding a typewriter or printing the form having to use white out for goofs.

Does a physician need to sign all NP charts?
There is no state where the law requires physicians to sign every one of a nurse practitioner's (NP's) charts.
Does a physician have to sign off on a nurse practitioner?
There are specific Medicare regulations and guidelines for the non-physician practitioners. A supervising physician counter signature is not required for a nurse practitioner that has his/her own NPI (provider number) working within the scope of their practice under state laws as an independent nurse practitioner.
Do nurse practitioners have to have a supervising physician?
NP scan prescribe medication, examine patients, diagnose illnesses, and provide treatment, much like physicians do. In fact, nurse practitioners have what's referred to as full practice authority in 20 states, meaning that they do not have to work under the supervision of a doctor.
Can a NP see patients without a doctor?
Currently, laws in 23 states allow nurse practitioners to practice independently, without physician oversight, meaning they can open their own practices, prescribe controlled substances, and practice to the extent of their training.
Can physicians bill for nurse practitioners?
Physicians are typically compensated through a fee-for-service model whereby they directly bill the patient's public health insurance plan for rendered insured health services. The practitioner number permits the NP to submit encounter records for insured services provided to patients who are registered under the Plan.
How many supervising physicians can a NP have?
So, just how many nurse practitioners can a physician supervise? Most states don't designate a specific NP to MD ratio. Of the ten states that do specify the number of physicians that a single MD can supervise or collaborate with, the number ranges from two to eight.
How many nurse practitioners can doctors supervise?
Number of Nurse Practitioners That May Be Supervised by One Physician: Under California Business and Professions Code section 2836.1(e), a physician may supervise up to four (4) nurse practitioners (NPS) that furnish drugs or devices. There are no other limits on the number of NPS that a physician may supervise.
Can a nurse practitioner have more than one supervising physician?
The supervising physician may not have any more than four such agreements at one time (for specialties, this is restricted to just one agreement in addition to the physician's primary practice. The physician and NP must be no further than 75 miles apart).
