Great service! Could use some updates though. The site is rather slow at times, and when changes text size there seems to be a bug where the page needs to refresh or reload. Also, general improvements on loading time would be nice. Also, please make the process of saving to PDF less steps and less clunky. I don't need to be shown where the pdf will be once downloaded.

The alkyl group is a type of functional group that has a carbon and hydrogen atom present in its structure. The general formula for an alkyl group is CnH2n+1, where n represents a number or integer.
Alkyl Groups. Alkanes can be described by the general formula C NH 2n+2. An alkyl group is formed by removing one hydrogen from the alkane chain and is described by the formula C NH 2n+1. The removal of this hydrogen results in a stem change from -ANE to -YL.
Alkyl group. Definition: An alkyl is a functional group of an organic chemical that contains only carbon and hydrogen atoms, which are arranged in a chain. They have general formula CnH2n+1. Examples include methyl CH3 (derived from methane) and butyl C2H5 (derived from butane).
propel and other primary alkyl groups derived from normal alkanes are normal alkyl groups. If the secondary carbon atom of propane loses a hydrogen atom, a secondary alkyl group known as the isopropyl group is formed. The abbreviations of propel and isopropyl are NPR and IPR.
Alkyl In chemistry an alkyl group is made from an alkane (a hydrocarbon without multiple bonds) through the removal or loss of a hydrogen atom. Removed is attached to two other carbon atoms.
A simple alkyl group is a functional group made up entirely of carbon and hydrogen where the carbon atoms are chained together by single bonds. ... Simple alkyl groups are named by adding the -YL suffix to the prefix associated with the number of carbon atoms present in the molecule.
In the field of organic chemistry, a homologous series is a series of compounds with the same functional group and similar chemical properties in which the members of the series can be branched or unbranched.
Homologous series means. A series of compounds with the same functional group and similar chemical properties in which each successive member differs by CH2.
A homologous series is a family of hydrocarbons with similar chemical properties who share the same general formula. We will look at three hydrocarbon series: alkanes, alkenes and the cycloalkanes. Hydrocarbons are compounds that contain only hydrogen and carbon.
