How do I get a burn permit?

Obtain a Burn Permit Obtaining a burn permit is easy, just complete the Burn Permit Application and email the completed form to us at fireprevention@victorvilleca.gov. Upon receiving the completed application, we will review the application for completeness then email the permit approval back to you.

How do you get a fire permit?

Contact your local council to see if you can have a fire and if so, do you require written permission from the council. Contact the owners/occupiers of the land adjoining the property where you wish to light a fire and advise them of your intention to apply for a permit.

How much is a burning permit?

The fee for this annual open burning permit is five dollars ($5.00). After completing the application process and paying the five-dollar fee, you will be able to save an electronic copy and will be asked to print and sign your permit at the end of the process.

When can you burn without a permit in Tennessee?

From October 15 through May 15, anyone starting an open-air fire within 500 feet of a forest, grassland, or woodland must by law secure a burning permit from the Division of Forestry. Permits are not required for burning in containers such as a metal barrel with a ½” mesh screen cover.
