Very smooth and easy. A little set back by only being able to elect monthly or yearly before being able to print, basically buying something you haven't seen. I paid for a year, doubtful I'll use it more than a few times. Would have preferred a "This Time Only" charge. But I like the ease of the product.

The recompression index is calculated by taking the slope in the recompression curve. Compute I using the below expression. Here, the term C r is recompression index, e is the change in void ratio and is change in effective stress in log scale. It is otherwise called as swelling index.
The Compression Index (Cc) is equal to the slope of the graph of pressure versus void ratio (log scale) [7]. Compression Index (Cc) for clay is in the range 0.258 to 0.968, while for late rite soil was in the range 0.101 to 0.940. Value of Compression Index (Cc) is different between each type of soil.
Compression Index. The compression index is used to find the settlement in the normally consolidated clay. The total stress applied is larger than the stress in the field, to which the soil sample has been undergone in the past.
The Compression Index (Cc) is equal to the slope of the graph of pressure versus void ratio (log scale) [7]. and time combinations, where C is the secondary compression index (C = DE/d log t) defined as the tangential slope of the e-log t curve at any particular time after the end of primary consolidation, and C * = DE/d log v is the tangential slope of the e-log v curve at a particular v value.
The settlement of the soil layer is calculated by calculating the settlement of the individual sub-layers and adding them. In doing this it is assumed that the voids ratio and the effective stress are constant throughout the sub-layer and equal to their values at the center of the sub- layer.
In geotechnical engineering, settlement is defined as the vertical movement of the ground, generally caused be changes in stresses within the earth. Settlement is most likely to occur when increased vertical stresses are applied to the ground on or above soft or loose soil strata.
The total settlement of a loaded soil has three components: Elastic settlement, primary consolidation, and secondary compression.
