Works well with scanned pdfs to You can wite-out on the page when you need to change some data. You can highlight, it has most features like other pdf programs. The time it takes to upload takes longer than with adobe acrobat.

Indexes are used to quickly locate data without having to search every row in a database table every time a database table is accessed. Indexes can be created using one or more columns of a database table, providing the basis for both rapid random lookups and efficient access of ordered records.
The purpose of creating an index on a particular table in your database is to make it faster to search through the table and find the row or rows that you want. The downside is that indexes make it slower to add rows or make updates to existing rows for that table.

Indexes should not be used on small tables. Tables that have frequent, large batch updates or insert operations. Indexes should not be used on columns that contain a high number of NULL values. Columns that are frequently manipulated should not be indexed.
Indexes in database contains only sorted values, due to which searching a particular value in a field becomes faster. Binary search algorithm is used to search from index which makes the searching even faster. Database queries containing joins becomes much faster with indexing.
Indexes are a performance drag when the time comes to modify records. Any time a query modifies the data in a table the indexes on the data must change also. A database with a heavy number of transactions to modify data will need fewer indexes to allow for higher throughput. Indexes also use disk space.
