The Initial Certificate is the entry-level teaching certificate for anyone who has completed a New York State teacher preparation program, or equivalent coursework and experience. The Initial Certificate is valid for five years.
Conditional Initial: This is the first-level certificate for teachers who hold a certificate in the same or equivalent title from another state, but who have not yet met the NYS testing requirement.

Prospective educators must meet the state's requirements to earn Utah teacher certification. Like most US states, Utah requires all educators to hold a bachelor's degree, complete an education or licensure program, and pass the required content exams. There are three levels of licensure in Utah.

With all requirements complete and a degree in hand, the final step in becoming a teacher is to apply to your state's Department of Education for a teaching certificate. The cost of teacher certification varies state to state but typically costs between $40 and $200.
A provisional license is a license with special conditions. They are also referred to as a provisional instruction permit. And, more casually, they sometimes called a learner's permit. With a provisional driver's license, you are allowed to drive with a licensed adult 25 years of age or older.
Violations of provisional license restrictions are secondary offenses. This means that police officers may not pull over teenage drivers, if they are otherwise driving legally. Two tickets may then be issued: one for speeding and one for violating the license restrictions.
You will have to pay a retest fee to take a second or third driving test. After you pass your driving test you will be issued a temporary license valid for 90 days. Your new photo license will be mailed to you. If you have not received your license after 60 days, call 1-800-777-0133 to check on the status.
In many cases, you can earn your teaching degree without ever having to attend a traditional college campus classroom. You can also get an MA teaching license even if you attend a school located in another state. Teaching certification requirements differ from state to state.
An Initial License requires passing scores on the appropriate MEL exam and completion of a DESE-approved educator preparation program. An Initial License is valid for five years of employment and may be extended once, for five years. After that time, an educator is required to advance to a Professional License.
In order to teach in Virginia, candidates must complete an approved teacher education program from an accredited school. Note that those who attend a teacher preparation program within the state that is not approved will not be eligible for licensure.
According to the Virginia Department of Education, substitute teachers must be 18 years of age or older, and have earned a high school diploma or GED. Additionally, substitute teachers must attend school-provided orientation to policies and procedures.
