App produces error during install for smartphones. Should favor browser entry, or at least make link more prominent. Also, the way that some of the advanced features are not available to a subscription is a bit misleading they way they are presented IMO... At the very least, the base subscription should provide limited quantities of some of the more advanced features... (monthly counter etc.) ~ Because the casual user may really benefit from these features (in low volume.) And there's little incentive to not just "get by" with the free services if they're not available.

Below is a list of the most common customer questions. If you can’t find an answer to your question, please don’t hesitate to reach out to us.
You can't get a license from the FCC to broadcast on HF, shortwave, to an audience in the USA. You can get a license to broadcast to international listeners. The NASA (Nat'l Assoc of Shortwave Broadcasters) can get you more details.
Barring that, it's perfectly legal to listen in on ham radio transmissions without a license. ... For the Ham bands in the U.S. or possessions, you need an Amateur license from the FCC. There is an exception that you may transmit LOW POWER on most frequencies so that they can only be received for a short distance.
Legally using ham radio without a license. Can you legally just grab one of these radios and start transmitting, even if you don't have a license? ... The FCC allows people to use amateur frequencies with the understanding that those using them identify themselves correctly and have been trained and licensed.
Unlike a CB Radio, you need to have a license to operate a 10-Meter Radio. ... With their high power output, 10 Meter Radios can overpower CB transmissions and other important local communications. The 10-Meter Band consists of frequencies stretching from 28,000 to 29,700 MHz.
Though it is not possible to take the ham radio license test online, it is not all doom and gloom. The test itself is not difficult and doesn't require so much studying to pass. As for the study materials and other resources you'd need to get a license, you could get them for free on several online portals.
Long Answer: The test is $15.00 and the license is free. Radio stations range from low $30 to the cost of a nice house in some areas. It is kind of like buying a computer.
No wonder most of the analog shortwave transmitters sold today are DRM-capable or ready. In 2019 the BBC is still on shortwave and has large audiences in countries like Nigeria, having recently introduced new shortwave transmissions in additional languages.
Answer: Absolutely! Regular shortwave radio listeners already know the answer to this question. Sure, the landscape of the shortwaves is changing, but it's such a vast landscape that, even with a few major players dropping out, there is still so much to hear and appreciate.

Shortwave radio is radio transmission using shortwave radio frequencies. ... Thus, shortwave radio can be used for very long distance communication, in contrast to radio waves of higher frequency which travel in straight lines (line-of-sight propagation) and are limited by the visual horizon, about 64 km (40 miles).
