I like how the PDF filler has been easy to work with but I think there should be a separate cost for those of us not using the filler all the time. Its expensive at the moment for me.

Start the DIVIDE command. At the Select object to divide: prompt, choose the object along which you want to place the points or blocks. At to Enter the number of segments or [Block]: prompt, enter the number of segments you want to create, or enter b to use the Block option.
Click Modify tab Geometry panel Join drop-down (Enjoin Geometry). Select the geometry to enjoin. To exit the tool, click Modify or press Esc.
Click Home tab Modify panel Break. Find. Select the object to break. By default, the point at which you select the object is the first break point. Specify the second break point. To break an object without creating a gap, enter @0,0 to specify the previous point.
Click Home tab Modify panel Edit Poly line. Find. Select a poly line. Enter e (Edit vertex). Enter s (Straighten). Use the Next option to move the X to the vertex immediately following the one that you want to delete. Enter g (Go). Enter x (Exit) to end editing vertices. Press Enter to end the command.
Select the poly line. For path-based objects, double-click the object or select Modify > Edit [Object] to access the path in editing mode. Right-click (Windows) or Ctrl-click (Mac) on a poly line which contains at least one arc vertex, and select Convert Arc to Radius Poly line from the context menu.
