So surprised and happy to find this VA… So surprised and happy to find this VA application online and available to convert to a filler style form. Printing the document by-hand was painful and re-dos were tedious but with your program I was able to complete and annotate (where needed) the application in a legible, presentable manner. Thank you for this program.

For the Standard diploma, a student must earn 22 units of credit, as well as six verified credits. For the Advanced Studies diploma, a student must earn 24 to 26 standard units of credit (depending on when he or she entered ninth grade) with nine verified credits.
Standard diploma is the diploma granted to all students, including students with disabilities, who meet state standards and requirements. All students entering 9th grade during the 2014-15 school year and after must work toward a standard diploma.
The Modified Standard Diploma is intended for certain students at the secondary level who have a disability and are unlikely to meet the credit requirements for a Standard Diploma. Eligibility and participation in the program are determined by the student's IEP team and the student, when appropriate.
Not all colleges use diplomas as a deciding factor when they consider students for acceptance. Many private colleges will accept general diplomas and even technical diplomas. Private colleges can set their own standards, since they do not have to follow state mandates.
In terms of diplomas, two options are presented: standard and advanced. The difference between an advanced diploma and a standard diploma lies in the class requirements. Students who choose to obtain an advanced diploma must take four years of math and science and three additional electives.
Prior to the changes, high school students needed to pass nine SOL tests in order to earn an advanced diploma, six for a standard diploma. Now students only need to pass five SOL tests in order to graduate and earn either diploma. And once passed, a student will not need to take an SOL test in that subject area again.
”Students in public schools in Virginia are required to take the state mandated Standards of Learning exams. ... Inclusion in some middle and high school programs may hinge on SOL test scores and students must pass a certain number of SOL exams in certain subjects to graduate.
To graduate with an ADVANCED STUDIES DIPLOMA, a student must earn at least 26 standard units of credit by passing required courses and electives, and earn at least nine verified credits by passing end-of-course SOL tests or other assessments approved by the Board of Education.
