How do you notarize without an ID?
If you don't have ID, many states allow the use of credible witnesses. Two people could identify you before a notary public, sign the notary's journal, and produce identification themselves. But, honestly, if you need to get notarized, go down to your DMV and get a state issued identification card.
What form of ID does a notary need?
Official identification: The notary will ask for identification to verify that you really are who you say you are. You'll need official identification with a photographs driver's license, passport, or other government-issued ID will typically do the trick, although requirements vary from state to state.

Notaries should put their seals only on qualified notarial certificates. They should not stamp or emboss document pages or copies of ID documents simply to make them appear more official. In fact, notaries should not do this even after they have properly completed a notarial certificate that is attached to a document.
How do you notarize an ID card?
Bring to the notary your original document, a photo copy of it and a valid ID, such as your driver license or passport. Then follow one of the options stated below: Option 1: The notary should certify copy of a document by writing 'TRUE COPY' and putting his/her signature, seal and stamp preferably on the copy itself.
Can a notary notarize a driver's license?
A notary public is generally not allowed to certify copies of recordable documents such as passports, visas, and driver's licenses. However, as a notary you can notarize the customer's statement that the document is what he or she says it is.
