Highlighting text on a Web page to copy it or simply draw attention to it while viewing the site is easy. click on the first or last word in the specific text and drag your mouse over the section. You can highlight and annotate online text just as you would in a printed book.
When on the page you would like to search, press the three dots on the top-right of the page (Android) or the ellipses button on the bottom-right (iOS). In the menu that appears, select "Find in page." You may have to scroll down a bit, depending on your phone. Once selected, a text field will appear.
First, go to Preferences in Safari, and choose Advanced. Next check the box next to Press Tab to highlight each item on a webpage. Now all you have to do is type Option + Tab to easily highlight items.
If you want to highlight one word at a time, press Ctrl key while holding down Shift, and then press the left or right arrow key. If you want to highlight a whole line of text, move your cursor to the start of the line, hold the Shift key, and then press the down arrow.
Press the "Right-arrow" key while keeping the "Shift" key held down. Notice that each time that you press the "Right-arrow" key, a character is highlighted. If you want to highlight a large amount of text, simply hold down the "Right-arrow" key while pressing the "Shift" key.
Select the cells you want to apply conditional formatting to. Click the first cell in the range, and then drag to the last cell. Click HOME > Conditional Formatting > Highlight Cells Rules > Text that Contains. In the Text that Contains box, on the left, enter the text you want highlighted.
Highlight using the HTML5 tag If you are working on an HTML5 page, the tag can be used to quickly highlight text. Below is an example of the how to use the mark tag and its result. If your browser supports the tag, "highlighted text" should have a yellow background.
Choose Find from the Edit menu or press [Ctrl]+F. On the Find tab, enter the word or phrase into the Find What control. Check the Highlight All Items Found In option (shown below). Click Find All and click Close.
