It worked very well to get the 1099's printed for our wards. I am testing it with other things. Anxious to learn how to edit forms I had created when I had access to Adobe photo shop.

They were quarried in Egypt and shipped to Rome. However, most columns were constructed from segments or drums. Any fluting would be carved into the column once it was erected. In many instances, columns weren't stone at all, they were made of concrete and/or brick and then plastered to look like stone.
Whilst some stone columns were carved in one piece, as buildings became bigger, columns began to be constructed from separate drums. These were individually carved and fitted together using a wooden dowel or metal peg in the center of the drum.
However, most columns were constructed from segments or drums. Any fluting would be carved into the column once it was erected. Column capitals were carved before being placed. The three styles of classical architecture are Doric, Ionic, and Corinthian. Doric temples were the first style of temples made from stone, not wood, and are identifiable by the columns and entablature. The columns are tapered with 20 flutes, and have a smooth top piece called a capital.
The Greek Corinthian order was the most decorative of the three orders. It featured columns that were fluted, or decorated by vertical lines cut into the surface, and capitals that were decorated with a design of unfurled acanthus leafs, based on a plant found throughout the Mediterranean.
The Greeks developed the classical orders of architecture, which are most easily distinguished by the form of the column and its various elements. Their Doric, Ionic, and Corinthian orders were expanded by the Romans to include the Tuscan and Composite orders.
In relation to the styles of columns they used, they were all favored by both the Greeks and the Romans and made a persistent appearance in most of their buildings. Although, the Greeks did prefer the use of the Doric and Ionic orders, whereas the Romans preferred the more ornate Corinthian order.
The Corinthian order is the last developed of the three principal classical orders of ancient Greek and Roman architecture. The other two are the Doric order which was the earliest, followed by the Ionic order.
