It was very good and worked very well. However, overpriced. I did not like that I could not switch to a different sign on option after purchase and that if I terminate the agreement, you delete access to files instead of offering a transition courtesy print/save/view.

They point to the Greek word pemmican, to count by fives, and also to the unquestionably binary character of the Roman numerals. However, there is no other evidence of this sort, and it is much more probable that our group of languages passed through a preliminary vigesimal stage.
In the time of the fertile crescent, the Phoenicians came up with a communication system, which we know as the alphabet. They also developed the number system. The way the numbers 0-9 got their shape is all because of the amount of angles they have. In its primitive form, our third number has 3 acute angles.

The Egyptians invented the first ciphered numeral system, and the Greeks followed by mapping their counting numbers onto Ionian and Doric alphabets. The key to the effectiveness of the system was the symbol for zero, which was developed by ancient Indian mathematicians around 500 AD.
Arabic numerals have nothing to do with angle counting! According to this, the shapes of the numbers was derived from a notation where for each numeral contains its own number of angles. It's a fascinating idea, and it would be fascinating if it were true. The problem is, it isn't.
The Hindu-Arabic or Indo-Arabic numerals were invented by mathematicians in India. Perso-Arabic mathematicians called them “Hindu numerals” (where “Hindu” meant Indian). Later they came to be called “Arabic numerals” in Europe because they were introduced to the West by Arab merchants.
For example, the Arabic numeral system we're all familiar with today is usually credited to two mathematicians from ancient India: Brahmagupta from the 6th century B.C. and Prabhat from the 5th century B.C. Eventually, numbers were necessary for more than simply counting things.
There are two main ways of naming a number: scientific notation and naming by grouping. For example, the number 500 000 000 000 000 000 000 can be called 5 × 1020 in scientific notation since there are 20 zeros behind the 5.
