Data security is another reason why do we prefer to use PDF files for storing and sharing confidential data and documents. In addition to password protection, some platforms offer opening history to track down those who opened or filled out the document.

I had a little trouble finding the right form for the Post Office EDDM program. First, I got an outdated form which was corrected at the post office. When I complained to customer support, they were very helpful and I was able to access the up-to-date form.

I was sold on the ability to edit anything on the document easily with PDF filler. I have the latest copy of Nuance Power PDF Standard that I used to create an editable form and I could not figure out how to edit some of the fields on the PDF doc. (I believe the source PDF file may have been poorly designed for computer input.) Anyway, I find PDF filler very easy to use--no need to convert the document to a form--just start editing with the various tools. Neat!

Below is a list of the most common customer questions. If you can’t find an answer to your question, please don’t hesitate to reach out to us.
For married couples filing jointly, the standard deduction is increasing by $400, up to $24,800 for the tax year 2020. With an increase in the standard deduction, we may see even fewer people itemize deductions in 2020. Many homeowners will still find it beneficial to itemize their tax deductions.
In 2020 the standard deduction is $12,400 for single filers and married filers filing separately, $24,800 for married filers filing jointly and $18,650 for heads of household.
The standard deduction for 2020 is $12,400 for singles and $24,800 for married joint filers. There is also an additional standard deduction, for older taxpayers and those who are blind. A married filer who is blind or aged 65 and over can claim $1,300 for themselves.
The Internal Revenue Service (IRS) standard deduction is the portion of income not subject to tax that can be used to reduce your tax bill. You can take the standard deduction only if you do not itemize your deductions using Schedule A of Form 1040 to calculate taxable income.
Standard Deduction Amounts. The standard deduction amounts will increase to $12,200 for individuals, $18,350 for heads of household, and $24,400 for married couples filing jointly and surviving spouses. For 2019, the additional standard deduction amount for the aged or the blind is $1,300.
If you're used to claiming itemized deductions on your federal tax return, tax reform may have a surprise in store for you in 2019. More than 45 million taxpayers itemized deductions in 2016, according to the IRS. If you were one of those people, that might change for the 2018 tax year.
Summary of 2019 Tax Law Changes The same applies to a married couple filing jointly who have no more than $24,400 in itemized deductions and heads of household whose deductions total no more than $18,350. These deductions almost doubled starting in 2018 after passage of the Tax Cuts and Jobs Act.
Itemizing means deducting each and every deductible expense you incurred during the tax year. For this to be worthwhile, your inevitable deductions must be greater than the standard deduction to which you are entitled. For the vast majority of taxpayers, itemizing will not be worth it for the 2018 and 2019 tax years.
