Exempt Tables Customer is entitled to extend each of the below ServiceNow tables up to 1,000 times.
To extend the task table and inherit any relevant fields and business logic, start by navigating to System Definition | Tables. On the list of tables, click New from the top-left.
The extended table of a given physical table (Base Table) is a virtual table composed of the base table itself plus all the physical tables which have N-1 relations, either directly or indirectly, starting from the given base table.
Go to your ITS and Incident Page homepage. Find the My Open Incidents Task list. Only tasks assigned to you are in this list. Open a task by clicking on the Task Number (ITS#######).
Task is a base table with many common fields used by incident, problem, change, and so on. Catalog task is an extension which means you get fields like state, assignment_group, etc. TASK is one of the core tables in ServiceNow. Fields inside this table can be used by any tables which extends task.
Navigate to System Definition > Tables. Click New. Enter a Label to appear on list and form views. Edit the text in the Name field as necessary. Text is automatically added to the Name field based on the Label field. The User role is the role required to access the new table. Click Submit.
Definitions. 1.1 Custom Table means any non-ServiceNow provided table created or installed by. Or on behalf of Customer on the ServiceNow platform and used for any purpose, including the creation of a custom application, unless such table is specifically exempt.
Open the form context menu and select Configure > Form Layout. Enter the following values in the Create new field section. Field. Value. Name. Needs Review. Type. Choice. Click Add to add the new field to the slush bucket. The new field appears at the bottom of the Selected slush bucket.
