The launch image is visible on mobile devices when launching the app for the first time or when restarting the app. The launch image fills the whole screen for a few seconds until the app data loads and the app content is available. This bridges any gap in loading time and provides the user a seamless experience.
In Xcode, Click on your Assets file (Images.assets) in the left sidebar. It should open in the main pane. In the left sidebar of the main pane (where Apricot, Launching, etc. ... Select New Launch Image. Add your new launch images as normal. ... Change the Launch Images Source from your Target's settings.
Add your Launch Screen Asset to the Assets.assets folder. Drag the Launch Screen image from the media library (Bottom right in utilities pane for Xcode versions less than 10, or pop up window with command + shift + m for Xcode 10), on to the Touchscreen ViewController.
You can add icon images to your app by dragging them to the appropriate cell in the icon set grid.
