Online applications are usually completed through a company's website. Most of the time, you'll have to sign in to create your own profile and start your application. Make sure that the security settings allow form filling. (See File > Properties > Security.) Sometimes form creators forget to convert their PDFs to interactive forms, or they intentionally design a form you can only fill in by hand.
