Select and highlight the equal sign on the top line of the equation. Right click and click 'Align at this Character' option. Do this for each line of the equation to view it as below.
To do that, go to View > Show ruler, so the ruler is visible. Next, put your cursor in the line where the equation is. Now, click in the ruler where you want the equal sign to be located and select either Add center tab-stop or Add right tab-stop. Finally, put your cursor before the equal sign and press the Tab key.

Use equation shortcuts You can type “\\” followed by the name of a symbol and a space in an equation to insert that symbol. For example, \\alpha will insert. To type superscripts or subscripts, type “\\”, then press Shift + 6 or Shift + -.
