Open the message you'd like to view headers for. Click the down arrow next to Reply, at the top-right of the message pane. Select Show original. The full headers will appear in a new window, simply right-click inside the headers and choose Select All, then right-click again and choose Copy.
Every email message includes a block of text at the top that is referred to as the header. The header contains details about the message, including the sender's information, the recipient's information, the servers that handled the message as it traveled from the sender to the recipient, etc.
To begin, open the email message by clicking on it. Click on Details (right above the To: and From: fields) and choose View Message Source. The full headers will appear in a new window, simply right-click inside the headers and choose Select All, then right-click again and choose Copy.
Trace an email with its full headers. For an email you received in Gmail, you can see where the email came from by looking at its headers, including how it got from the sender to the recipient's mail servers.
An email message internet header provides a list of technical details about the message, such as who sent it, the software used to compose it, and the email servers that it passed through on its way to the recipient. Most of the time, only an administrator will need to view internet headers for a message.
Click the File. Click Properties. Locate Internet Headers (bottom of the popup window) Highlight, copy and paste everything from the Message Source window (Ctrl-A, Ctrl-C) into the Email Header Analysis Engine, and click Submit header for analysis.

To get an email header from Gmail, open the email within your web browser. Click the drop-down arrow (more) next to the reply button and choose “Show Original”. 2. Once the new page opens (example not shown for security reasons), select Ctrl+A then Ctrl+C to copy all the data within the window on a PC.
