Locate Limited Field Format: full-featured PDF editor

The Portable Document Format or PDF is a widely used document format for numerous reasons. PDFs are accessible from any device, so you can share files between desktops and phones with different screens and settings. It will look the same no matter you open it on a Mac computer or an Android device.

Data protection is another reason we prefer to use PDF files to store and share personal information and documents. That’s why it is important to pick a secure editing tool, especially when working online. In case you're using an online solution to store documents, you can track a viewing history to find out who had access to it before.

pdfFiller is an online document management and editing tool that allows to create, modify, sign, and share PDF using just one browser tab. Convert an MS Word file or a Google spreadsheet, start editing it and create fillable fields to make a document singable. Once you finish changing a document, you can send it to recipients to fill out, and you'll get a notification when they're done.

Use editing tools such as typing text, annotating, blacking out and highlighting. Once a document is completed, download it to your device or save it to the third-party integration cloud. Add images to your PDF and edit its appearance. Ask other people to fill out the document and request an attachment. Add fillable fields and send documents to sign. Change a page order.

Follow these steps to edit your document:

01
Browse for your document through the pdfFiller's uploader.
02
To change the content of your document, click the 'Tools' tab and follow the instructions.
03
Insert additional fields to fill in specific data and put an e-signature in the document.
04
When finished, click Done and proceed to downloading, sending or printing your document.

Click the Add New Field option in the right sidebar menu, then click the Text Field option from the New Field menu. Remove your placeholder text and click inside the PDF document where the field will appear. Next, drag the cursor to widen the field to the desired length.
Open “Text Field Properties” dialog for the field and select the “Options” tab. Check the “Allow Rich Text Formatting” option and press “Close” button to apply changes. Make sure to use “File > Save” menu to save changes into the file.
Step 1: Load the PDF File. Open your pre-existing PDF form in PDF element, or you can choose to open an existing form template. Step 2: Recognize Form Fields Automatically. Step 3: Fill and Save the Form.
Make sure that the security settings allow form filling. (See File > Properties > Security.) Sometimes form creators forget to convert their PDFs to interactive forms, or they intentionally design a form you can only fill in by hand. If you can't type in the form fields, then the fields are probably not interactive.
To edit a single form field, double-click it or right-click it and choose Properties. To edit multiple form fields, select the fields that you want to edit, right-click one of the selected fields, and choose Properties.
