How do I lock a record in Filmmaker?

It is not a script step or function. ... Go to field definitions: File > Manage > Database > Fields. Select the field you wish to set the lock option for (i.e. the field you want to prevent editing of) Click Options > Validation.

How do I lock a field in Filmmaker Pro?

In the Arrangement & Align area, click Lock. The handles of each selected object turn gray to indicate that the object is locked. Select the locked objects, then click Unlock. Locking a field in Layout mode does not prevent changes to the information in Browse mode.

Can we use sharing rules to restrict data access?

You can use sharing rules to grant wider access to data. You cannot restrict access below your organization-wide default levels. To create sharing rules, your organization-wide defaults must be Public Read Only or Private.
