It was very helpful to have forms at my fingertips that required little effort to complete. It also provided some forms that I did not have but a customer required. Very helpful!

BFM Accreditation Now Available Online BFM stands for Basic Fatigue Management, and it is the process that all businesses across Australia need to utilize to ensure their heavy vehicle drivers are not endangering their own and other people's lives by fatigue.
Basic Fatigue Management (BFM) with this accreditation you can operate under more flexible work and rest hours, as long as the risks of driver fatigue are properly managed.
Under BFM a driver can work up to 14 hours in 24 hours.
The examination must include an assessment to detect drivers in the high risk group for sleep disorders. Examinations are to be conducted, as a minimum, once every three years for drivers aged 49 or under, and yearly for drivers aged 50 or over.
Expires: 04/03/2018 The accreditation is subject to the conditions set out in this certificate and the conditions contained in the National Heavy Vehicle Accreditation Scheme Business Rules and Standards.
Operators with Basic Fatigue Management (BFM) accreditation can operate under more flexible work and rest hours, allowing for (among other things) work of up to 14 hours in a 24-hour period. BFM gives operators a greater say in when drivers can work and rest, as long as the risks of driver fatigue are properly managed.
*Stationary rest time is the time a driver spends out of a regulated heavy vehicle or in an approved sleeper berth of a stationary regulated heavy vehicle.
Each duty period lasts 14 hours, which is known as the 14-hour rule. Drivers can drive for up to 11 hours during the duty period. However, after driving for eight hours, the driver must take a break of at least 30 minutes. Breaks of any kind count against the 14 hours duty period time.
The U.S. Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA) regulates the number of hours a trucker can work without a break. Truck drivers are supposed to drive no more than 11 hours in any 14 consecutive-hour period, and are mandated to be off duty 10 or more consecutive hours before beginning their next shift.
No, not under the federal HOS rules. The rules only restrict drivers from driving a property-carrying CMV after 8 hours without a break. If a driver will be working but not driving a CMV after 8 hours, then no break is required.
