Open Microsoft Word. Click the “Insert” tab. From the “Header & Footer” group, click [Header] or [Footer]. From the drop-down menu, choose a Header or Footer style. Return to the “Insert” tab.
Position the insertion point where you want the file name inserted. Choose the Insert tab of the ribbon. Click the Quick Parts tool in the Text group. Choose Field. Choose Document Information from the Categories list. Select Filename from the Field Names list.
On Windows: Holding Shift and right-clicking on a file in Windows Explorer gives you an option called Copy as Path. This will copy the full path of the file to clipboard.
Open Windows Explorer and find the photo (or document) in question. Hold down the Shift key, then right-click the photo. In the context menu that appears, find and click Copy as path. This copies the file location to the clipboard.
Double click to place the cursor where you want to insert the file name in the header or footer. Under Header & Footer Tools, on the Design tab, in the Insert group, click Quick Parts, and then click Field. In the Field names list, click Filename select the Format you want.
