How do I find the deed to my property line?
Check your deed. Your deed contains a description in words of your property's boundaries. Review your property survey. When you bought your home, it's likely you received a map, also known as a plat, showing property lines and measurements. Hire a surveyor.
How do I find the GPS coordinates for my property line?
Step 1: Go to Google Maps. Step 2: Locate your parcel using Google Maps, your eyes, and your brain. Step 3: Find the coordinates of one corner. Step 4: Click on the remaining corners. Step 5: Save it all.
How do I find the GPS coordinates of my property?
To find the exact GPS latitude and longitude coordinates of a point on a map along with the altitude/elevation above sea level, simply drag the marker in the map below to the point you require. How do I find my property pins?
LOOK FOR PROPERTY PINS If your property is a platted lot, you should have property pins located at all corners of your property. Property pins are typically 30 long pieces of ½ 5/8 rebar that are driven into the ground. They are capped with a colored plastic cap that has the name of the surveyor on them.

If you're planning on buying or selling a property, or planning construction on one you own, you'll need to hire a professional surveyor to perform the survey. Keep in mind that in almost every State in the USA, land surveying (even your own property) without a valid surveying license is a violation of the law.
How do I get a copy of my property survey?
Visit your jurisdiction's building inspector or the land records office. Many jurisdictions keep surveys on file at the city building inspector's office. You can also get surveys connected with tax maps or half-section maps from the county's land records office -- usually the county assessor.
