For pdfFiller’s FAQs

Below is a list of the most common customer questions. If you can’t find an answer to your question, please don’t hesitate to reach out to us.
Select two or more adjacent cells. Choose Table > Merge Cells (from the Table menu at the top of your screen). Note: If the Merge Cells command is dimmed, you might have selected entire columns or rows, or a header cell and a body cell, which can't be merged, even if they're adjacent.
Select the cells in column you want to split (just as you would in Excel). Choose 'Text to Columns 'from your Numbers > Services menu. Click once in the top-left destination cell (I usually pick a cell in the column to the right of the original values, so I can double-check results), and command-v to paste.
To divide two numbers in Excel, you type the equals sign (=) in a cell, then type the number to be divided, followed by a forward slash, followed by the number to divide by, and press the Enter key to calculate the formula.
In the table, click the cell that you want to split. Click the Layout tab. In the Merge group, click Split Cells. In the Split Cells dialog, select the number of columns and rows that you want and then click OK.
Divide numbers in a cell To do this task, use the / (forward slash) arithmetic operator. For example, if you type =10/5 in a cell, the cell displays 2. Important: Be sure to type an equal sign (=) in the cell before you type the numbers and the / operator; otherwise, Excel will interpret what you type as a date.
You can't split a cell. If a cell has never been merged with another cell, it can't be unmerged. To merge cells, select two adjacent cells. Go (menu) Table > Merge cells.
To split a row, column, or cell, select it with your mouse. If you need to select multiple cells, hold down the Shift key and click them. On the Table Inspector, click either the Split Rows button or Thespis Columns button, as needed.
Re: Trying to divide two columns of numbers Just put the equation =A1/B1 in the first cell of the list of numbers. Then you can a) copy the cell and paste it into the cells below or b) there should be a little black square on the bottom right of the cell. Drag it down the list of numbers. A & b do the same thing.
Click any blank cell, and then type an equal sign (=) to start a formula. After the equal sign, type a few numbers that are separated by a minus sign (-). For example, 50-10-5-3. Press RETURN. If you use the example numbers, the result is 32.
