This site is truly amazing. I am a 66 years old Vietnam Veteran and Retired U.S, Marine. Currently filing for PTSD and was able to fill out the VA form exceptionally easy. I purchased a 1 year subscription, in that I felt it would be worth it in the future. I wish this site had a method of informing others about the services. I searched the web and stumbled across this site. Further, I initially had questions and was able to speak to a live person. His attitude and willingness to help, sold me and I purchased the services. Once again, Thanks. Doug U.S. Marine Corps, Retired.

I like it but wish there was an edit instead of erase and text to change something. There may be but I'm not aware of it so a webinar would be very helpful.

Labeling values is a two-step process. First, you must create the label formats with pro format using a value statement. Next, you attach the label format to the variable with a format statement. This format statement can be used in either pro or data steps.
In PRO FORMAT, specify where to store the custom format using the LIBRARY= option. To store the format in the C:\\meets location, write the following SAS code: Use the VALUE statement to define the format. Define the format library that is used by the SAS Forecasting for Desktop.
To permanently associate a format with a variable, use a FORMAT statement or an ATT RIB statement in a DATA step. SAS permanently associates a format with the variable by modifying the descriptor information in the SAS data set.
User Defined Formats Using Proc FORMAT is a procedure that creates a mapping of data values into data labels. The user defined FORMAT mapping is independent of a SAS DATASET and variables and must be explicitly assigned in a subsequent DATASET and/or PRO.
To remove all variable labels in a data set, use the ATT RIB statement and the _ALL_ keyword.
To remove all variable labels in a data set, use the ATT RIB statement and the _ALL_ keyword.
To remove a format from specific variable(s): ADD format var name. To the data step (where var name is the name of the specific variable you want to display without the format labels). Example: Use a data step to create a new data set, and remove format from gen health in the new data set.
Enclose the text of the label in single or double quotation marks. Limit the label to no more than 256 characters, including blanks. To remove a label, use a blank as the text of the label, that is, variable =' .
