If it's a text watermark, you'll have the Word Art Tools tab available, and if it's a picture, you'll see the Picture Tools tab when the watermark is selected. If it's a text watermark, you can drag it to change its position on the page, but no other editing. If it's a picture, right-click and choose Format Picture.

Double-click the area at the top of the page (above the first line of text). This will open up the Header/Footer function. Double-click on the image and this will open up the Format Picture window. There you can use the slider to adjust the transparency, and a lot of other cool features.

Open a single PDF, or select one or more component PDFs in a PDF Portfolio. Then choose Tools > Edit PDF > Watermark > Remove. To remove watermarks from multiple PDFs, close any open PDFs and choose Tools > Edit PDF > Watermark > Remove.
Go to the “Edit” tab. From there, click “Remove Watermark” from the “Watermark” drop-down list. Choose the watermark that you want to remove and click on “OK” to remove the watermark from your PDF.
