Can a notary use a digital signature?
While an electronic notarization uses digital documents and signature technology, during an notarization the signer must still appear in person before a Notary Public exactly like a traditional pen-and-paper notarization. At present, only three states permit the use of webcam technology to perform notarization.
Is there an electronic notary?

A notary holding a commission issued by the Pennsylvania Department of State may notarize at any location in the Commonwealth. A Pennsylvania notary may not perform notarial acts outside this state.
Can you notarize an electronic signature in Georgia?
Under the Act, an electronic signature will satisfy that requirement. The Act also allows a notary public to notarize the signature of another electronically. An electronic signature can be an electronic sound, symbol, or process.
Can you notarize for family in Georgia?
Anywhere in the state of Georgia. Who can I notarize for? As a notary/signing agent, you can notarize for any member of the public who makes a sensible request and meets all the requirements for notarization. It is recommended, as a guiding principle, to avoid notarizing any documents for family members.
Can you send a notarized document via email?
As document signing evolves and more things become electronic, the process of submitting documents electronically has become more common. Some places will accept faxed copies or scanned copies of notarized documents as well. Can a notary perform their services via email? That answer is no.
