It worked very well to get the 1099's printed for our wards. I am testing it with other things. Anxious to learn how to edit forms I had created when I had access to Adobe photo shop.

Scala provides package objects as a convenient container shared across an entire package. Package objects can even inherit Scala classes and traits. By convention, the source code for a package object is usually put in a source file named package. Scala. Each package is allowed to have one package object.
The implicit keyword indicates that the corresponding object can be used implicitly. Scala will first look for implicit definitions and implicit parameters that can be accessed directly (without a prefix) at the point the method with the implicit parameter block is called.
Implicit Parameters. At it's simplest, an implicit parameter is just a function parameter annotated with the implicit keyword. It means that if no value is supplied when called, the compiler will look for an implicit value and pass it in for you.
Scala 2.10 introduced a new feature called implicit classes. An implicit class is a class marked with the implicit keyword. This keyword makes the class's primary constructor available for implicit conversions when the class is in scope. Implicit classes were proposed in SIP-13.
The implicit parameter in Java is the object that the method belongs to. It's passed by specifying the reference or variable of the object before the name of the method. An implicit parameter is opposite to an explicit parameter, which is passed when specifying the parameter in the parenthesis of a method call.
Obviously, it is finding it inside A, which is a type argument of Ordering. This is also how various collection methods expecting CanBuildFrom work: the implicit are found inside companion objects to the type parameters of CanBuildFrom. Note: Ordering is defined as trait Ordering[T], where T is a type parameter.
< Scala. In Scala, an object is a named instance with members such as fields and methods. An object and a class that have the same name and which are defined in the same source file are known as companions. Companion has special access control properties, which is covered under Scala/Access modifiers.
Class and Object in Scala. Classes and Objects are basic concepts of Object-Oriented Programming which revolve around the real-life entities. Class. A class is a user-defined blueprint or prototype from which objects are created.
