How do I password protect files on my iPhone?
Run the file manager app on your iPhone or iPad. Tap Settings at the bottom, select Enable Password, you will then be able to set a password to protect any sensitive data on the phone.

Can you lock a file on iPhone?
If you do not want to compress files, but merely lock files and prevent them from authorized access, you can choose the Lock option.
