What does secured mean on a PDF?
It means the file is protected in some way, there are restrictions on what you can do with it. “If you receive a PDF that is protected by security features, you may need a password to open the document. If a document has restricted features, any tools and menu items related to those features are dimmed.”
How do you unsecure a PDF?
The easiest way to unsecure or protect a PDF document is to open it in Chrome. Then, print the document as a PDF document. The resulting PDF document will be unsecure and unprotected and can be edited or signed. Here I assume you have a password-protected PDF file, and you do have password as well.
How do I unlock a PDF for editing?
Click CHOOSE FILE. It's a green button on the right side of the page.
Select your PDF file.
Click Open.
Enter the user password.
Click UNLOCK.
Click VIEW & DOWNLOAD IN BROWSER.
How do I print a secured PDF file?
Upload a Secured PDF in Google Docs. Open Google Docs and log in to your account.
Print Locked PDF. After uploading and viewing the locked PDF in Google Docs, click the “Print” button.
Print PDF. In the new window, select the “Save” option to save it as an unlocked PDF.
