What is digital ID in PDF?
A digital ID usually contains your name and email address, the name of the organization that issued it, a serial number, and an expiration date. Digital IDs are used for certificate security and digital signatures. When you sign PDFs, you use the private key to apply your digital signature.
How do I find my digital ID?
On the Tools menu, click Trust Center, and then click E-mail Security.
Under Digital IDs (Certificates), click Get a Digital ID.
Click Get an S/MIME certificate from an external Certification Authority, and then click OK.
