Happy Customer I am absolutely amazed at the customer service I received today. How do you do set and drift?

Find the distance to your destination in nautical miles. Divide this distance by your average speed in knots. Multiply this time by the average speed (drift) of the current. From your destination, plot the set of the current.

How do you find set and drift?

This can be calculated by using the formula Speed = Distance / Time. Once an advance position has been plotted, then set and drift can be factored in. If there is a known set and drift, then the corrections can be applied to the Dead Reckoning position to then get an Estimated Position on a chart.
