What polish is best for nail stamping?
For a double-duty polish that can work as a regular polish and as a stamping polish, try out Purity by Goya. It's creamy, picks up well, and is opaque especially for a regular nail polish. This is another polish that I would say does best with a marshmallow or rubber stamper versus a clear jelly stamper.
Do you need special nail polish for stamping?
Look for a good stamping polish. Usually polishes that will cover your nail with one coat will stamp well. Metallic polishes and some matte polishes work very well. When using a squishy or sticky stamper, pushing your nail straight into the image instead of rolling it over your nail works the best.
Can any nail polish be used for stamping?
Can I use regular nail polish to stamp? Yes! The main difference between stamping polish and regular nail polish is that stamping polish is usually thicker and is packed with pigment. Some regular polishes work too, but the opacity will vary.
Is there a difference between stamping polish and regular nail polish?
Stamping polish has a little longer drying time than most regular polish, so it is easier to work with when learning. I avoid fast-drying formulas (in regular polish) for most nail art techniques. Metallic finish regular polishes usually give excellent coverage.
