Click near the top or bottom of the document where you wish to insert the logo. To insert the logo in the header or footer, double-click near the top or bottom of the document. Click the Insert tab on the command ribbon.
Traditionally, company letterhead is formatted so the logo, company name, mailing address, phone number, fax number and email address appear at the top of the document. The presentation can appear at the left or right margins or be centered on the page.
There are options for placing the logo on the letterhead: in the top-left, top-middle, or top-right corners of a page. And top-left aligned logos are ideal as they are located exactly where the eye is naturally drawn.
Every Nike shoe is designed in a symmetrical way. The Nike logo is placed correctly on three sides of the shoe, that is (1) on the front, (2) near the shoe lace and (3) on the left side of the shoe. But it appears as a mirror image on the right side of the shoe.
The vast majority of websites position their logo designs in the upper-left corner of every page. That's because people expect to find the logo in that position. It's the safe choice to place your logo in the upper left corner, but it's not the only choice.
When logos point in a particular direction, they nearly always face to the right, appearing to move in that direction. This is no coincidence. Our natural tendency is to scan images from left to right, even when there's no text in the image.
