Works for everything Overall I am a fan of the software. I know not everything is supposed to work 100% of the time and things will happen so that doesn't deter me from using the software or recommending it someone else. I liked the ability to install and go, this software worked for getting documents in, filling them out, and getting them back out. I like the options and the ability to even save some data. Sometimes it has crashed or felt a little clunky. I am unsure if it is saving the data but during the saving process it has crashed on me and that is something i wasn't as much a fan of.

Perhaps the simplest answer is to place the header and footer in its own section and protect that section from changes. You can do that by following these general steps: Set up your header and/or footer as desired. Insert a Continuous break on the first line of the document.
Format your headers and footers the way you want them. Select Restrict Editing on the Developer tab. Under 2. Editing restrictions, select No changes (Read Only). Select the body of the document. Under Exceptions, check Everyone. ... Under 3. Start enforcement, select Yes, Start enforcing protection.

Step 1: Put the cursor before the part of document you will protect, and then click the Breaks > Continuous on the Page Layout tab. Then add a continuous break at the end of the part of document with same way. Step 2: Show the Restrict Editing pane with clicking the Restrict Editing button on the Review tab.
To turn off the protection, click on Review tab and click on the icon for Restrict Editing. Click on the Stop Protection button at the bottom of the Restrict Editing pane. Type the password and click OK. Then uncheck the options for Formatting and Editing restrictions that appear on the top right.
