For pdfFiller’s FAQs

Below is a list of the most common customer questions. If you can’t find an answer to your question, please don’t hesitate to reach out to us.
The digital signature must have the following properties: It must verify the author and the date and time of the signature. It must authenticate the contents at the time of the signature. It must be verifiable by third parties, to resolve disputes.
A digital signature is an electronic form of a signature that can be used to authenticate the identity of the sender of a message or the (signer) of a document, and also ensure that the original content of the message or document that has been sent is unchanged.
Like a written signature, the purpose of a digital signature is to guarantee that the individual sending the message really is who he or she claims to be. Digital signatures are especially important for electronic commerce and are a key component of most authentication schemes.
Uses of digital signatures are used to meet three important goals of information security: integrity, authentication, and non-repudiation.
Digital signatures are the public-key primitives of message authentication. In the physical world, it is common to use handwritten signatures on handwritten or typed messages. They are used to binding signatory to the message. Similarly, a digital signature is a technique that binds a person/entity to the digital data.
This action achieves two things: it authenticates your digital signature, and it confirms the document hasn't been altered since you digitally signed it. You can also digitally sign an electronic document sent to you from another source, as long as they have included the signing function in the document.
Digital signatures are the public-key primitives of message authentication. In the physical world, it is common to use handwritten signatures on handwritten or typed messages. ... Digital signature is a cryptographic value that is calculated from the data and a secret key known only by the signer.
Digital Signature is a process that guarantees that the contents of a message have not been altered in transit. When you, the server, digitally sign a document, you add a one-way hash (encryption) of the message content using your public and private key pair.
A digital signature is an authentication mechanism that enables the creator of a message to attach a code that acts as a signature. Typically, the signature is formed by taking the hash of the message and encrypting the message with the creator's private key.
Digital signatures work by proving that a digital message or document was not modified intentionally or unintentionally from the time it was signed. Digital signatures do this by generating a unique hash of the message or document and encrypting it using the sender's private key.
