I absolutely LOVE the convenience PDF filler provides for our patients, as well as our front desk staff. The only thing that would improve the service would be a guide that indicates to the patient that they missed a section, so they know to keep scrolling to complete all the forms.

Charter schools are public schools of choice, meaning that families choose them for their children. They operate with freedom from some of the regulations that are imposed upon district schools. Charter schools are accountable for academic results and for upholding the promises made in their charters.
The difference between charter schools and public schools in terms of flexibility is, charter schools are run by a private board and public schools are run by the state board of education. Public schools are to follow rules governed by the school districts that establish the state law.
Because charter schools are generally granted more flexibility than regular schools, advocates argue that charters can develop more innovative programs. They are accountable to their authorizers for results but are free to try different ways of helping students achieve at higher levels.
A 2003 national study showed charter school students were no better than public schools at educating kids. A 2012 study by the California Charter Schools Association found that charter schools are more likely to be both higher performing and lower performing than traditional public schools.
Charter schools do not draw students from an assigned area. Families choose to send their children to them. If demand for enrollment in a charter school exceeds space, students are usually picked by a random lottery. Charter schools educate only a small share of the nation's public-school students-about 6 percent.
Charter schools are publicly funded, but independently operated, schools. By law, they're open to all children and tuition-free. About one in five charter schools is operated by a non-profit charter management organizations. About one in 10 schools is run for profit.
In California, charter schools are authorized and overseen by the school district or county office of education in which they are located. Until 2020, charter schools could also be authorized by the State Board of Education.
