How do I turn off safe links?
You can turn them off by signing in to https://outlook.live.com. Then select Settings > Premium > Security. There's a toggle under Advanced Security that you can use to turn off Safe links. Note that turning off Safe links will only affect future messages you receive.
What are safe links?
When someone clicks on a URL in an email, Safe Links immediately checks the URL to see if it is malicious or safe before rendering the webpage in the user's browser. Safe Links checks if that destination domain is not on either Microsoft's blacklist or a custom blacklist created by the organization.
How does ATP safe links work?
The ATP Safe Links feature immediately checks the URL before opening the website. The URL is identified as blocked, malicious, or safe. If the URL is to a website that is included in the organization's custom blocked URLs list, a warning page opens. If the URL is determined to be safe, the website opens.
What does do not let users click through safe links to original URL?
Enter a URL that you want to block. Select Use safe links in Office apps, Office for iOS and Android. Select Do not track when users click safe links. And select Do not let users click through safe links to original URL. These might already be selected if you set up the default policy. Select Save.
