On a sheet, arrange the data that you want to plot in a chart. Select the rows and columns that you want to appear in the chart. On the Charts tab, under Insert Chart, click Other, and then under Templates, click the chart template that you created.
Click a Chart button on the Insert tab of the ribbon to open the Insert Chart window. Click the Templates tab on the left sidebar. You will see a gallery of your Chart Templates. Press OK.
In your chart, click to select the chart element that you want to format. On the Format tab under Chart Tools, do one of the following: Click Shape Fill to apply a different fill color, or a gradient, picture, or texture to the chart element.
Select the cells you want to chart, including the column titles and row labels. These cells will be the source data for the chart. From the Insert tab, click the desired Chart command. Choose the desired chart type from the drop-down menu. The selected chart will be inserted in the worksheet.
Click Insert > Chart. Click the chart type and then double-click the chart you want. In the spreadsheet that appears, replace the default data with your own information. When you've finished, close the spreadsheet.
