How do I remove a footnote separator?
Remove or change a footnote or end note separator The Footnotes' pane appears at the bottom of your document. You can edit the color or style of the separator by choosing options on the Home tab, or, to delete the separators, click Footnote Separator in the Footnotes list, and then select and delete the separator line.
How do I remove the footnote separator in Word?
Click the drop-down button to select Footnote Separator. Then click to have the separator in selection. Press either Backspace or Delete to remove the separator. And choose Footnote Continuation Separator then and delete it as well.
How do you adjust a footnote separator?
Using the Notes drop-down list at the top of the Footnotes window, choose Footnote Separator. Word displays the current separator in the window. Change or delete the separator, as desired. When you are satisfied with the appearance of the separator, close the footnote window.
How do you make a footnote separator longer?
Although you cannot resize the Footnote Separator, you can make it longer by duplicating it. By default, the Footnote Continuation Separator is full margin width, but you can resize it by adding paragraph indents. Right-click, choose Paragraph, and increase the Left and Right indents as desired.
