Parking permits are always required. Reserved spaces and Resident ® lots are restricted 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. After 5:30 pm and on weekends, students displaying an S or R permit may park in D, E, GO, and Y designated areas.
Freshmen Student Parking Policy. University of Tampa students are not permitted to bring cars to campus for the duration of their freshman year (fall through spring semesters). This includes students who have enough credits to be considered sophomores at any time during their first academic year.
All first year students starting classes in the summer or fall term will be required to stay overnight in a residence hall as part of the Orientation experience. Students seeking or granted exemption from the on-campus housing requirement are not exempt from the Orientation overnight stay.
Can I live off campus? INTO USF does have a Housing Live On Requirement. Students who are required to live on campus under this policy have the option to submit an Enthusing Live On Requirement Exemption Request.
Any current student may select from any available room on campus. During this time, students may pull members of their roommate group into their selected unit, but units are not required to be filled.
USF Parking & Transportation Services manages the university's 20,000+ spaces, including four parking garages, and a transit system, which operates 7 days a week.
The cost of a permit is $10 (Park-n-Ride), $20, $30, or $40 per month depending on the lot. Permits are sold for nine- or twelve-month periods and expire at the end of the spring semester or on July 31st. Permits cannot be purchased monthly, but can be returned at any time. The price is then prorated monthly.
