For pdfFiller’s FAQs

Below is a list of the most common customer questions. If you can’t find an answer to your question, please don’t hesitate to reach out to us.
REGISTER NUMBER CODES. The United States Marshals Service and the Federal Bureau of Prisons assigns an eight digit “Register Number” to all offenders in the following format: XXXXX-0XX. The last three digits signify the district wherein the offender was arrested and or processed into the system.
First and last name (required) and middle name, age, race, and sex (optional) Inmate number from the: Bureau of Prisons (BOP) Register. D.C. Department of Corrections (CDC) Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) Immigration and Naturalization Services (INS)
Unfortunately there aren't any federal inmate pictures online. Federal inmates aren't the only one who don't have pictures online, I know California, and our state Texas doesn't either.
As long as you know the state where the inmate is incarcerated, you can use a website called vinelink.com (Victim Information and Notification Every day) to uncover the other details like inmate/offender ID, date of birth (DOB), race, gender, custody status, location and sometimes, even the scheduled release date.
Website: Bureau of Prisons. Contact: Contact the Bureau of Prisons. Local Offices: Locate an Inmate in a Federal Prison. Email: info@bop.gov. Phone Number: 1-202-307-3198. Forms: Bureau of Prisons Forms.
BOP is Bureau Of Prisons. It likely means either they have not yet been processed and remain in a County Jail facility. Or it could mean they have been transferred to a halfway house, often called Community Corrections, or they have been released on parole. It could mean a lot of things.
What does it mean if a prisoner is not in bop custody? ... BOP is Bureau Of Prisons. It likely means either they have not yet been processed and remain in a County Jail facility. Or it could mean they have been transferred to a halfway house, often called Community Corrections, or they have been released on parole.
The Federal hold means that he is being held in a county jail to either face federal criminal charges, or deportation by ICE.
If you know that the inmate is serving time in a federal prison, you can go to www.bop.gov. They have a Find an Inmate area where you can easily locate an inmate that is currently being held in a federal prison. You will be able to search using an inmate's BOP number, FBI number or name.
Many correctional facilities offer a search option on their website to help you find an identification number. You will need to enter any identifying information you have (name, age, etc) and if the inmate is located in the database, you will be provided with that number. Use this number to complete the search.
