Long-tap a word to select it on a web page. Drag the set of bounding handles to highlight all the text you want to copy. Tap Copy on the toolbar that appears. Tap and hold on the field where you want to paste the text until a toolbar appears. Tap Paste on the toolbar.
On Windows, while it's not universal, many apps support the shortcut Ctrl + Shift + V to paste without formatting. These include Chrome, Firefox, and Evernote. To paste as plain text on a Mac, you can use the somewhat cumbersome shortcut Option + Cmd + Shift + V to paste without formatting.
Open Microsoft Word. Create a blank document. Click on File. Click on Options. Click on Advanced. Under the “Cut, copy, and paste” section, use the “Paste from other programs” drop-down menu and select the Keep Text Only option.
Right click in the Word document where you want to paste your text. On the menu under Paste Options, choose the third option, Keep Text Only. The icon is a clipboard with an A on it.

Highlight all the text that you pasted into the document. Scroll through the available “Styles” in the Styles group of the Home ribbon, and click “Normal” to change the formatting style for your selected text.
