Don't quite understand how it works as I am not a computer person except to do genealogy, and write.
One cannot operate a computer without it. At least this is what I'm finding out.
It all seems automatic, I would like to know more about it's function, Why's and what-fores, instead of just logging on and it appears. All I know is that it is a major function for downloading photographs and some documents. There should be a tutorial offered to those who are senior citizens and so many things are automatic.
It takes understanding its function to a non-software-computer person. Guess more instruction would help.

How do you resize a Word document?
Open the “Page Layout” tab by clicking it in the ribbon. Click the “Size” button in the Page Setup group in the ribbon. A drop-down menu will appear. Click the desired paper size to which you want to resize the document.

Select the Page Layout tab, then click the Size command. Clicking the Size command.
A drop-down menu will appear. The current page size is highlighted. Click the desired predefined page size. Changing the page size.

How do I reduce the size of a Word document 2007?
Open a Word 2007 document that contains a picture you would like to compress. Select the picture. Word will switch to the Format tab that sits below Picture Tools on the ribbon. Move to the ribbon's “Adjust section and click “Compress Pictures” to open the Compress Pictures dialog window.
