If you want to highlight a whole line of text, move your cursor to the start of the line, hold the Shift key, and then press the down arrow. You may also use the shortcut key combination Shift+End. Tip: If you want to highlight all text, press the shortcut key Ctrl+A.
For All Markup, new text is color coded, depending on who made the changes. Added text appears underlined, and deleted text appears as strike through. These text highlights are called revision marks. They are not text-formatting attributes. For No Markup, the changes are tracked but not displayed in the document.
On the Review tab, in the Tracking group, select Show Markup. Do one of the following: Select to select the type of change that you want to display. For example, select Comments or Insertions and Deletions. The check mark next to the item indicates that the item is selected.
Open Microsoft Word. Choose the Review tab at the top of the document. Either click the Track Changes button (PC) or toggle the Track Changes switch (Mac). Make sure that you change 'Simple Markup' to 'All Markup' from the drop-down bar next to Track Changes.
The markup is still there. To make it go away permanently, you need to go through the document, and Accept, or Reject changes. Select All Markup, then, press Ctrl+Home to move the cursor to the very beginning of the document. Now click Next, and the first change is selected.
Remove tracked changes Accept or reject tracked changes to remove them from your document: To look at each revision, one at a time, on the Review tab, under Changes, select Next, and then Accept or Reject. Word keeps or removes the change and then goes to the next one.
Open the Word document. In the menu at the top of the Word document, click the Review tab. Go to the Changes section of the Review tab. From here you can do one of two things. (A) Go through all the comments one by clicking either the Accept or Reject button.
To remove comments from your document, delete them. Select the comment and then go to Review > Delete. To remove all comments at once, select a comment and then go to Review and select the arrow by Delete, and choose To delete All Comments in Document.
