Wash, rinse, and dry hands thoroughly before handling contact lenses. Use soap that is free of oils, lotions, or perfumes. Dry hands with a lint-free towel. Use fingertips to handle contact lens (not fingernails and/or sharp objects like tweezers).
In general, your eyes need periods of quiet and rest, so make sure you give them that break. 8. Sleep with your contacts on. But if you notice after taking a nap or sleeping overnight with your contacts on that your eyes are irritated, then your eyes are getting swollen, and you want to avoid that.
Stick to wearing your contacts for about 12 to 16 hours at most, and take them off at night to give your eyes a break. If you wear them throughout the week, give your eyes a rest day on the weekend, too.
