When you enter an email in the Secure Email Checker, we look to see if the email server supports inbound Transport Layer Security (TLS) encryption. If the email server supports TLS encryption, that means any message you send to that email address can't be snooped and is protected in transit.
Select your name or picture in the upper-right corner of the window. Select My account. If prompted, enter your password and select Sign in. In the top navigation menu, select Security. Select More security options.
Create a strong password for your account. Use the Microsoft Authenticator phone app to sign in without a password. Make your account easier to recover. Make sure your operating system has the latest updates. Never reply to email asking for your password. Check your recent activity. Manage your trusted devices.

Click the “Data Files” tab in the Account Settings Window. Click “Outlook Data File” from the list of accounts and then “Settings.” Click “Change Password.” Enter the same password in the “New Password” and “Verify Password” fields.
Go to the Microsoft Accounts page and click on Security. Then, click on the Update Info button. From there, you can check your details, add security information, or change alert options.
Use a strong password and change it often. A strong password is one that is not easy to guess. Use different passwords for each online account. Set up two-step verification. Never give out your password or write it down. Make sure your alternative email address and phone number is up to date.
