For pdfFiller’s FAQs

Below is a list of the most common customer questions. If you can’t find an answer to your question, please don’t hesitate to reach out to us.
Apparently, Common App users hated that too! Now students' work will automatically be saved every 90 seconds. And the application will also automatically save before a student attempts to upload a separate document, such as a resumed or supplemental essay response.
This question was first asked a year ago, in summer 2015, and at that time the Common App indeed deleted all the accounts every summer. Now the situation is different: in the beginning of 2016, the Common App announced that the accounts created in spring 2016 will be rolled over into the fall application season.
That's two weeks to fill out any background information and at least a month for other required documents. In addition to any parental information that's needed such as employer details and educational background many schools also require first-year applicants to submit recommendation letters and transcripts.
The Common Application asks some other demographic information about your parents, but only requires you to include their marital status relative to each other and with whom you make your permanent home. There are few cases in which their information will hurt your application, and in many cases, it may help it.
Submitted applications and recommendation forms are not saved from year to year. However, you can always roll your account over if you would like to apply again. Please note that some information, like school-specific questions and recommendations, will not roll over.
The Common App first-year essay prompts will remain the same for 2020-2021.
The first page of the common questions form for applicants on the common app site says that “per the Common App Privacy Policy, all data entered prior to August 1, 2010, has been archived, and student applications are no longer available for retrieval.”
Once you create a Common Application Account, there is no way to manually delete it, but you can make sure you no longer receive any correspondence from the colleges listed in your account until it expires and is automatically deleted. Log in to the account you wish to delete.
